The pumpkin flavour is quite heavy and is definitely suited to a pumpkin lover. The ‘japanese’ pumpkin tends to be slightly sweeter in flavour than what I usually find with butternuts and what not. I was quite impressed with the timing of the steaming, the skin was not overcooked and the pumpkin was not mushy and gluggy.
I have this thing with green tea. It is my absolutely favourite flavour. Not only does it have health benefits it also tastes great (well to me it does) I just can’t seem to find a strong ‘green – tea flavoured’ savoury dish!
Despite the lack of green tea flavour, the skin was chewy and sticky, but easy to eat.
I’m not a big fan of black sesame but the novelty of eating these adorable hedgehog buns is so damn worth it I didn’t even care. They’re also instagrammable worthy.
To all you meat lovers out there, you would be fooled if you ate this panfried ‘chicken’ bun. It was juicy, ‘meaty’ – though the dough was a little dry.
Not bad for an only vegan place!
Vegetarians, this is the place for you!
