Excuse my absence in the blogging world, being on prac has succumbed me to be typing out lesson plans rather than reviews on food. But here’s a little throwback into a warm (and very windy) might I add, cafe in La Perouse.
This place reminds me of a sailors cottage for some reason…
Driftwood burger: Look at that meat proportion! Those meat juices were certainly dripping down with every bite. The brioche bun was buttery and soft but unfortunately the chips were a little over salted. I was pretty impressed with the driftwood burger, the condiments were complimentary to each other, whilst being simple and humble.
Corn fritters: These fritter definitely had their corns worth.. but daresay I might say too much? There just seemed to lack a bit of balance between corn and the batter of the fritter but the chilli jam on that was fiery and tasty.
Of course, being in such a picturesque suburb, how can I resist another (yes, another) adventure with Alice.
There’s one thing I recommend. If its super windy, don’t sit outside. Your food will get cold, your hair will fly in your face (long hair people, watch out!) and it is just not pleasant.
