On the outskirts of Gordon Station, lies Green Pottery Barn. Looks like a pub and looks like a barn. However, the wooden and rustic outlook is surrounded by hanging vines and instead is a lively, local cafe.
A fusion of Vietnamese and Australian food, the menu incorporates the traditional bahn mi and an Aussie breakfast and also has your favourite classics of Pho, baguettes and coffee.
Struggling to decide between the baked eggs and a full Aussie Breakfast, my eyes drifted over the fresh bread baking in the oven.
Zooming to the middle part of the menu is the baguettes with Green Pottery Barn’s signature fillings.
Roasted thyme tomatoes, capsicum with rocket and boccocini ($8) with pork and herb chipolatas on the side ($4)
Perfectly roasted tomatoes and capsicum squeeze out their juices as you bite into the toasted bread (a little cold unfortunately) and the balsamic dressing is a perfect combination with the tomatoes.
The chipolatas are fascinatingly crunchy!! Full of flavour and cooked well.
What’s also adorable about this place?
The relaxed and carefree environment where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Grab a book, kick back with a coffee, and relax.

Ambience: 8/10 – quiet but I am sure it is busy during lunchtime 🙂
Til the next adventure!
